Lawn Care Technician
Description:
Weed & Feed Lawn Care is a local, family business serving residential and commercial customers in West Michigan since 1969. We are seeking a dependable, full-time certified pesticide applicator to join our team. The position entails spreading fertilizer and spraying weeds with a ride-on fertilizer spreader, driving truck with small trailer, interacting with customers and co-workers.
Position Details:
- Full-time position of 40-50 hours per week with overtime and a Monday to Friday schedule.
- Starting pay of $25-$30 per hour depending on experience- All of our current employees make more than $30 per hour.

- We use top-of-line ride on equipment and trucks. All of our Z-sprayers are less than 3 years old.
- We don’t pull hose and rarely use push spreaders.
- Trucks have air conditioning and are easy to drive.
- We provide tablets for entering work and turn by turn directions.
Skills and Requirements:
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
- Commercial Pesticide Applicator License with the State of Michigan in 3A
- 1 Year of Experience running ride on equipment with a Lawn Care Company or a degree in Turf Management
- Valid driver’s license with DOT Medical card (or ability to obtain)
- Ability to pass a drug test
- Ability to lift 50 pound bag of fertilizer and run ride-on equipment
- Good communication
